Cold Freeze

A protected machine that cannot be ransomed. Everything on it, encrypted before it leaves, kept where nothing — not this house, not an attacker holding your own credentials — can delete it. Restores are free and unlimited.

Three things are true of it

Nothing can delete a backup

Not you, not this house, not somebody holding your own credentials. The bucket that holds your snapshots carries an indefinite retention lock enforced below every door — so even the most privileged path inside the service is refused, which was proved by making it try.

The server never sees your files

Everything is encrypted on your machine before it leaves, with a key that exists only there and in a 24-word phrase you write down. Cold Freeze cannot read your backups and neither can anybody who takes it.

Restores are free and unlimited

You are never charged to get your own work back, and you can ask for a recovery drill any time to prove it still comes back.

Protection starts the moment the agent finishes its first snapshot. The unit is the machine, never the storage.

Four files, 3,509,309 bytes, backed up in 3.7 seconds. The originals were then deleted and every one came back with a matching SHA-256. Run against production, 19 September 2026.
